Scope:

This symposium will provide multidisciplinary discussion about advanced functional oxide materials which are very diverse and varied: bulk, thin films, heterostructures, nanostructures, nanoparticles, nanocomposites ans so on. Unique and specific properties of the oxide materials will be discussed: superconducting, semiconducting, insulating, ferroelectric, ferromagnetic, multiferroic, magnetoelectric and electro-optical phenomena. A wide range of topics includes materials design, fabrication, characterization, processing and their applications. The special session, ""state-of-the-art of observation and evaluation technologies to clarify the correlation between the metamorphology of valence states of an oxide material and its functionality"" will be organized. The recent progress in spin electronics, transparent conductive oxides and resistive switching are also included. The above topics will be discussed from both sides of the experimental and theoretical (including computational science). A wide ranging interdisciplinary discussion will be producing innovative ideas leading to new classes of oxide materials with unusual and suprising properties in the foreseeable future. We are expecting the impressive presentation of researchers and enginners from academism and industries.

Topics:

1. Oxide materials of bulks, thin films, heterostructures, and nanostructures
2. Insulators, superconductors, electric & ferroelectrics, ferromagnetics, multiferroics, magnetoelectrics, optics, transparent conductive related oxides.
3. Applications, devices, spin electronics and resistive switching including fabrication process using oxides
4. Theoretical studies and calculations on crystal structures, material properties, processing, and device performance, and so on
5. Other topics related with oxide materials
