This Forum will comprise of a series of keynote presentations from education experts covering issues and strategies that are important in order to sustain materials education in an environment of rapid change. The Forum will focus on the following topics:

  • An evolving curriculum: core versus hot topics
  • Using (electronic) resources in materials science and engineering education
  • Difficulties and solutions for laboratory-based materials education
  • Teaching the teachers
  • Educating the public and policy makers
