Scope:

It is indispensable for the control of various properties of polymers to clarifiy the relationship between molecular structure and properties of polymers. For instance, network density and molecular mobility can be given as factors govering mechanical strength, the details are not clear. In this symposium, we would like to discuss on molecuar design, direct observation, and quantum beam and simulation based anayses to make clear internal structure of polymers under mechanical deformation.

Topics:

1.Control of Internal Structure and Mechanical Properties Based on Molecular Design
2.Visuaraization of a Structure by Microscopy under Mechanical Deformation
3.Elucidation of Mechanism of Mechanical Deformation using Quantum Beam
4.Elucidation of Mechanism of Mechanical Deformation using Simulation
