Scope:

This symposium provides a forum for the presentation of research on carbon-based nanomaterials. The purpose of this symposium is to provide a forum for meaningful discussion on the synthesis, properties, and applications of various forms of nanocarbon materials (fullerenes, carbon nanotubes, carbon nanowalls, graphene, graphene oxide, diamond, diamond-like carbon, Marimo carbon, carbon quantum dots, etc.). We expect to hear cutting-edge research results on interesting properties such as electrical and magnetic properties, mechanical properties, and catalytic activity that correspond to the unique structures of carbon-based materials. We welcome various applied research using carbon materials, such as the development of biomolecularly compatible materials, fuel cells, electric double-layer capacitors, solar cells, LEDs, and various sensors. In addition, we also welcome presentations on environmentally friendly synthesis methods for nanocarbon materials, such as the use of biomass.

Topics:

1. New nanocarbon material (synthesis / physical characteristics)
2. Application of composite materials based on nanocarbon materials
3. Electronic devices, sensors, battery materials
4. Carbon catalyst
5. Biocompatibility
6. Utilization of biomass
